Existing DA clients connect as before
The server name and tag names are the same as in earlier versions, including compatibility mode and your tag separator. You don't need to remap tags or reconfigure clients
OPC UA built in
Modern SCADA systems and historians can connect with no DCOM setup. Connections can be encrypted, and certificates are created automatically. The tag structure is the same as in DA
DA and UA in parallel
Keep your current DA connection and add OPC UA next to it, then move over at your own pace
